- Irene Grumman Added 27/09/2017★ ★ ★ ★ ★I felt completely at home as soon as I got off the bus and entered Tigh Mheaic. The pub and common room are cozy and traditional. The food is first rate. The charming couple who run the pub hope to restore this small historic hotel. It will be a great place for parents bringing their kids for Gaeltacht instruction, as well as for hikers and fishers. I think there is even some surfing as well as boating and a yearly music festival. This photo of my sister and I with our second cousins means a lot to me. We shared a great meal at the pub. Tigh Mheaic serves Carna, a short way from the place where my mother grew up. My cousins run Atlantic Wave, as a BnB on that spot. I'd love to return one day!
